I will take the rain (with out an umbrella) any day...and it is so nice to NOT be able to pump my own gas. I hope they never repeal that law, or I may have to consider moving to New Jersey, and I just can't do that. No no, no way.
Pumping gas in the snow definitely sucks ass. I'm with you on that one. It also sucks when the humidity is 90%+, the temperature is in the low 30s (or lower), and the wind is blowing. Days like that make you want to stay in the house under a warm blanket with your jammies and slippers on, drinking hot chocolate.
Brrrrr. Here's hoping you got out of the cold quickly.
PT ~ Glad to give you a good laugh. I can laugh about it now, while I'm in the warm indoors...
Sid ~ I don't hate you. I now want to BE you, or at least live where you are. Damn, I'm cold. Oh, and I'm an artist. I love ALL the colors (green is my fav).
Cele ~ I love rain too. I was astounded to hear Oregon is not allowed to pump their own gas. Wow.
Tewkesy ~ yes, days like that do the same to me. Warm comforter, good book. Mmmmm.
Gen ~ I'd love to meet you again in 2008. So much.
CV Rick ~ sigh. I can only shake my head.
Pants ~ you made me laugh. Exactly. I've forgotten what my toes feel like, they've been frozen that long.
Mark ~ I think our gas is way more expensive here...so count your blessings. And Happy New Year to you too! :)
Yes, the law that prohibits pumping your own gas is a great one, especially where you live Cele. It isn't "raining" on the Oregon coast unless it is horizontal.
So...this doesn't have anything to do with this particular post. I just wanted to say that I love your blog and I think your honesty with yourself and others around you is refreshing. Thanks for your thoughts!!

I feel sacriligious saying this to YOU, Sister... but, oh my god! I totally laughed my head off over this post.
;) Angie
ACK!
Don't hate me, but it got up to the low 50's today.
Shoot me a note with your fave colors and if I have the yarn, I'll make you a hat or a scarf. :)

Happy New Year, sweetheart.
Here's to meeting again in 2008!
It's below zero here.
Call me sick.
But I like it.
Snow as great as long as you don't need to go anywhere or feel your toes.
Yup, Below zero here too and gas is $2.99 a flippin' gallon. Happy New Year SML.

Hey, I just did that this morning. In the dark. Ok, it wasn't snowing, but it was about 20 outside. I hate winter. :(

I hope your fingers didn't freeze.

If it makes you feel any better, pumping gas in 120 degree Las Vegas heat ain't much better.
La la la, I got snow, and I still don't have to pump my own gas. La la la
We had snow, and they were talking about closing school. Silly Willamette valley Oregonians
Boy, I don't miss that!! In fact, I don't have to pump gas at all anymore!! It's illegal out here.
