I drew this pastel on a hymn page using a Jeremy Lipking painting as reference.

It is absolutely beautiful, you are a true artist putting that body on a church hymn

There must be some meaning in the choice of hymn. Beautiful work, SML. This has something more. Can't but my finder on it, but it's complete.

Hi my Friend.
I like this alot. Very beautiful, very sexy, and very creative. I could see this piece hanging in a fine art gallery or in a classy bistro or even in a art museum. The piece shouts yet it is so delicate. I look at it and some of my animalistic interests rise and then I look again and Im calmed and I want to protect the being pictured. Good art creates emotion and you scored here.

This is the most ridiculous blog I've ever seen. You are a woman lacking in testimony, support and self control. Many of the reasons you site for leaving the church are not hidden, but openly taught and you would have known that had you paid more attention to the teachers and not the boys. Second of all you needed your husbands permission for a temple recommend because things like that can cause a lot of pain and anquish in a marriage if a husband can't attend with his wife. It's the same as when your husband is called in for a calling and they ask the wife if you will support them...but I guess you didn't stay around long enough to find that out. Your not damned to hell because you couldn't make it to the temple, you tried, your husband is the one that hindered you. You are blaming your frustrations on the wrong thing. Deep down you know this was the easy escape....leaving the church that is.

Nice copy. Do you ever do anything original? Did you just print his picture and trace it on that sheet music?

I drew it freehand while looking at the painting on my computer screen.

I have a couple more drawings on hymn pages using photographs by a professional with his permission, which will be for sale should one wish to buy. I'll post when they are ready to be seen. :)
