Friday at last

I've been pretty busy at work this week since it's my crunch time of the month with billing clients. I hope to see my way clear soon. I'm so burned out! I feel like I could sleep for 5 days straight.

Tonight we're taking the kids to a hotel in town that has a waterslide at their pool. We've never tried that before (who stays at a hotel in the same town they live in??) but it should be tons of fun. We plan to have pizza delivered to our room. Our youngest is pretty excited, and that makes us glad we chose to do this.

Happy weekend to everyone! If you are doing anything new or fun this weekend, feel free to share! I like to know what others like to do for fun.

Tomorrow I am picking up my son from Diabetes camp in Toole,(I have NO idea how to spell that!) and going to a good Friends home for an end of the summer party with my kids on Sunday. My friend just moved and put in a pool and tennis court at her new house...It should be fun. The will probably even have good wine! Sounds good to me.
SML, I read your post and had a dejavou...I thought you had already posted about going to that hotel...Then I remembered that my sister went there. They had a great time, as I am sure your family will! Have fun!

We do that!!! The kids love the hotel experience (they must be campers after SWMBO's heart), and you simply can't keep them out of the water. We've closed down more than our fair share of pools, let me tell you! ;-)

So what's a guy to do with all those hotel points from all that rotten business travel? Give it to the wife and kids to go spend a weekend at a hotel! Sometimes, we'll get real adventurous and drive the 45 miles to the next town, so we really feel like we've gotten away...

Oh yeah, for the weekend. We've got house guests coming in (I love her little girls to death, but they remind me why God blessed me with boys...), and we're hosting an "end of summer/beginning of school" ice cream social for our neighborhood in our cul-de-sac. Then school starts, and we're right back into the swing of things again.

hooray

I'm traveling home from San Fran where I had the pleasure of meeting Sideon, Scott, Gluby, Lemon, and their 2 kids. What a great time that was. The time flew by and sadly ended much too soon. What a group of great people. I wish we all lived in the same neighborhood.

I had Ethiopian and Thai food with my roommates and caught up on a few TV series. Not exciting but definitely fun and tasty.

I hung out with my sister yesterday and cooked dinner for her, my brother, and mom. Then we sat around talking the evening away; something I often enjoy.

Today, I'm being a bum. Mostly. At some point, I may go out on a photo safari and snap pictures of embassies and such. Then I've got to work on my laundry and clean a little.

I wish I didn't have to go to work tomorrow...

We stayed at a hotel, too! Two nights in Stockholm. Only a small pool available, but good enough for us. We went to the zoo and the fairground, took some ferry trips between the islands, and attended some family gatherings (like a non-religious namegiving ceremony for a baby, my very first).

I hope Dartman brought plenty of "darts" with him.

Thanks for everyone sharing what they did for fun this weekend! I'll post soon what we ended up actually doing (since the hotel with waterslide was full)...
